merry & bright

Hooray! Christmas is here!
We had a wonderful Christmas season filled with all the usual hustle and bustle.
Buddy our elf came straight from the North Pole to keep an eye on the kids for Saint Nick.
He kept us on our toes wondering where he would turn up next

T played in a basketball tournament,
M preformed with her dance class in a production of 'The Nightmare before Christmas'
The kids enjoyed parties at school, and
M had the pleasure of attending all 3!

Christmas Eve is spent at Grandma & Grandpa's house.
It is so much fun!  The kids absolutely love it!
My favorite thing about Christmas is all of our traditions, some have been carried on from our childhoods and others are new ones we have started for our children.
I think one of the best ones is Grandma's pinata!

We open gifts before we head home and attempt to get 3 overly excited, overly fed, overly spoiled children in bed! I might add they are all over the moon at the thought of a visit from their favorite man in red!

Christmas morning was epic! Santa brought an i-pod touch to T, a loft bed for B (I imagine he must have been up until at least 2:30 a.m. putting that bad boy together!) and a bed and scooter for M's dolly Lanie. It was a wonderful morning!  Every Christmas Eve before Santa sneaks back out of our house he gives each one of the kids a kiss.  His kisses are so special & magical they leave a little sparkle!  You can see it on their foreheads.

We opened presents and had breakfast at Nana & Papa's, then went to church.
It was a wonderful sacrament meeting!
That night we had prime rib and crab legs at Nana's.  I guess we all know what my New Year's Resolution will be! We hope you all enjoyed the season as much as we did!
