celebrate

"There's a party goin' on right here,
a celebration to last through out the year!
So bring your good times,
and your laughter too!"
. . . Lionel Richie
So, my little brother turned 3-0!
Can you believer were the same age now?
It's like were twins!
(until next year when he turns 31,
and then he will be my older brother)
We had a BBQ at our parents house to celebrate.
It was lots of fun, and yummy food!
Have your tried Breyer's Oreo Cookie
Birthday Bash Ice Cream?
It is heaven on a spoon!!
Anyway back to the birthday shenanigan's-
My brother has the cutest wife;
and an old broken down truck from high school.
So what do you get when you combine clever wife
and truck in need of repair?
One happy guy!
It was so cute!
He was literally driving around the neighborhood
the whole time we were all eating!
Like a 16 year old with his first vehicle!
2 peas in a pod!

We sang happy birthday over his birthday brownie,
and he gave us a little dance with the "cha cha cha's"

Great night,
Great family,
Great fun!
Happy Birthday Brother!
I love you Scruff

tgif

We have had a crazy, busy week-
I am so glad to see Friday has arrived!
This morning M had a pool party with
her preschool class.
M and her buddy swimming
The morning & afternoon classes for the last time.
Ms. Pam said 18 of her 24 students are the babies of their families,
so this was the end of an era for lots of us.
She has had most all of our kids up until now.
We will all really miss her amazing preschool!
M & her bestie (and cousin)
It was really windy, so the kids got chilly pretty quick.
M is not robust by any means, so she didn't last very long!
Here she is eating goldfish & trying to warm up.
Looks like she found a better way to warm up!

After the pool party we headed across the street to the
 boy's elementary school.
(pretty convenient hua?!)
We spent a little bit of time with B and his
class as they participated in lots of fun outdoor
games for field-day.
Here he is with the Belly Bumpers
They had a square spray painted on the grass &
you try to bump your opponent out of the square.
(similar to sumo wrestling)
I don't mean to brag,
but my boy totally kicked
that kids trash!
(and in the back ground his whole class was chanting his name-
kind of a "Rocky" moment!)

Next stop was the gymnasium for T's
class play
'The U.S. Constitution'
What you have presented before you are the greats:
John Adams,
Thomas Jefferson
& George Washington
(They may appear different then you remember from
your history text books)
The whole class did a great job-
they all had pretty big parts, which they all had memorized!
It was really cute, and had lots of
fun songs!

We don't have to be at the ball park tonight,
My mighty hunter is off in pursuit of a bear,
the kids are watching movies,
and both the dirty kitchen & the couch are calling my name.
I wonder which one will win?

Our Little Miss
graduated from preschool today
The program was so cute!
They all had little parts & sang lots of songs.

She absolutely loves her!
Thanks for a great year!  We will miss you!

take me out to the ball game

The boys have baseball games every
night this week.
So that means lots of pictures,
lots of dollars spent at the snack shack,
(it's ok if M lives on snow cones & churros this summer right???)
& lots of me cheering from the stands.
T had his first game tonight.
They lost 2 to 4,
but it was a great game!
T was the starting pitcher,
and just like his dad he doesn't
 hide his excitement very well.
Each strike out & end of an inning is followed by a huge grin!
I love it!

T hit pretty good too.

I also have to add a few pictures of B & M in the tub tonight.
B is mortified to bathe with his little sister, but she
is pretty good at begging him into doing it!
(and he's a good enought brother to give in to her)
Silly kids made shampoo mohawks.

love my little chickens!

looks like it will be another busy one

B had his first baseball game tonight.
He did pretty good for his first game.
He struck out his first at bat, but then got a hit his next at bat.
Getting a pep talk from Dad

He played center field and second base
His team lost 9 to 4.
They were troopers and this was a great game
for them to get their feet wet.
It's going to be a great season!

With school nearing an end,
as well as dance, karate, & scouts to name a few.
We are busier then ever,
but the nice thing is I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
We are all looking forward to summer break
Today I drove in & out of my garage 14 times!
This may explain why:
I feel like a taxi driver most of the time,
but I must say I love every minute of it!
Even though to keep track of all our comings and goings
my calender looks like this:
So to all you Mama's out there here's to a fun filled,
pool side sitting, baseball game watching,
snow cone munching blast of a summer
with all of our darling little chickens!

sweet kids & tomatoes

I was helping my Mr. Packard outside today and,
on the way out I told B & M not to destroy
the house while I was outside.
At one point M peeked her head out &
said don't come in, were having too much fun!
I was a little worried about what they could be up to.
I went inside a bit later to find this. . .

They were so proud of themselves!
What great kid-o's!

Also I can't wait  until these babies

turn into this yummy goodness:

handsome, so handsome

T has been in his contacts for about 2 weeks,
and he is doing great in them.
His glasses were finally ready on Monday.

I think he's a babe,
but he said I don't count because I'm his mama.

Also we spent our Saturday at the ball park.
(surprised are you?)
The boys played a double headed,
 & won both games!
The first one they won by quite a lot.
The second one; they were tied
going in to the 6th inning,
and ended up winning.

Can you tell they were excited?

LOVE this group of boys!

today

Today I made ramen-again.
I think were going on 10 days in a row.
Today I enjoyed the flowers my darling
Dad & Mom-in-law sent me for
Mother's Day.

Today I picked up B's shoes.
(Like every other day)
Today I kissed my Hubby's
cute face before he headed out the door
to go hunting.

Today I giggled at these silly little girls.
Today I listed to T's story about how
he lost his contact during class,
and he saw it on his shoe,
and he looked and looked,
but finally had to give up,
and "Mom do you think the eye doctor has more contacts?"
So cute!

Today wasn't the most perfect or productive day,
but it was a good day.
