sweet kids & tomatoes

I was helping my Mr. Packard outside today and,
on the way out I told B & M not to destroy
the house while I was outside.
At one point M peeked her head out &
said don't come in, were having too much fun!
I was a little worried about what they could be up to.
I went inside a bit later to find this. . .

They were so proud of themselves!
What great kid-o's!

Also I can't wait  until these babies

turn into this yummy goodness:

handsome, so handsome

T has been in his contacts for about 2 weeks,
and he is doing great in them.
His glasses were finally ready on Monday.

I think he's a babe,
but he said I don't count because I'm his mama.

Also we spent our Saturday at the ball park.
(surprised are you?)
The boys played a double headed,
 & won both games!
The first one they won by quite a lot.
The second one; they were tied
going in to the 6th inning,
and ended up winning.

Can you tell they were excited?

LOVE this group of boys!

today

Today I made ramen-again.
I think were going on 10 days in a row.
Today I enjoyed the flowers my darling
Dad & Mom-in-law sent me for
Mother's Day.

Today I picked up B's shoes.
(Like every other day)
Today I kissed my Hubby's
cute face before he headed out the door
to go hunting.

Today I giggled at these silly little girls.
Today I listed to T's story about how
he lost his contact during class,
and he saw it on his shoe,
and he looked and looked,
but finally had to give up,
and "Mom do you think the eye doctor has more contacts?"
So cute!

Today wasn't the most perfect or productive day,
but it was a good day.

scoot

Watch out world!
Here she comes!

funnies & sweeties

My handsome, rugged Mr. Packard
has been hunting bears lately.
With a bow and arrow no less!
He enjoys it very much,
and I worry very much.
Yesterday he was chasing bears with dogs,
and they 'treed' a mama and her 2 cubs.
He videoed it, and was excited to show
the kids this morning when they woke up.
M as she watched it said
"Dad, you're even putting bait in the trees?"
(In addition to chasing down the bears,
they also have 'bait stations' where they leave
 food to entice them in.)

This morning over breakfast the boys were discussing
how hard the homework must be in collage.
The conversation then turned to
who makes more money plumbers or salesmen.
After this deep talk they promptly announced to me:
"We're not doing collage, just missions!"

I found this recipe on
( where else??)
Pinterest.
Marshmallow Brownie Cookies

They are so yummy!
Very messy & gooey!
The recipe made 30 cookies,
about 10 times the marshmallow creme you need,
and about 4 times the frosting you need.
So next time I will be making half or even a fourth
of the marshmallow and frosting.
This is the marshmallow I had LEFTOVER after I frosted all the cookies!

it was a big day today

The time has come to register our baby for kindergarten!
Her preschool class took a field trip to visit the
elementary school on Monday & she has been so
excited all week!
So along with registration comes the dreaded immunizations.
M did awesome with the 2 she had to have last summer,
so it wasn't a hard thing to talk about with her.
She knew what to expect, and we planned a fun
"Girls Day" for after which made today something
we both have been looking forward to all week.
We headed down to the Doctors office.
(M was so cute; as we were pulling out of the garage she said
"Mama, can we just have one more prayer to help me feel better?)
We had to wait a while for the nurse,
so by the time we got into the room she burst into tears.
The nurse was great, and fast so it was just a
few minutes of pain and then we were done.
The day got better from there.
We headed to the school to register her for kindergarten,
went to the store to buy a hula hoop,
(which of course had to be tried out right away)
got cups of yummy pebble ice at Chevron,
had pedicures at Bliss,
then out to lunch with Nana!

playing catch up

April was crazy,
& May seems to be following suit!
There have been field trips,
soccer games, baseball games & practices,
dance, scouts, and lots of spring fever
that makes focusing on the last
few weeks of school very difficult.
"BUT MOM! We can't come in for
dinner & bed-It's still light outside!!!"
So here's a few randoms:
Notice anything different?
No, it's not the armpit hair he is so desperately wishing will grow in!
T is now the 2nd member of our household to be in contacts!
I was in 5th grade too when I got glasses.
We went to the Dr. on Tuesday & they had him wearing the contacts that day!
(Much better then waiting until your a SOPHOMORE like me!)
We have some cute blue glasses ordered and they should be here Monday.
They are Nike so that appeased T.
B raced in the District Pinewood Derby.
It was a much better year then last year!
(He lost both in a row & was done-and heartbroken)
He raced and won 2, lost 1, won 1, and then lost out.
We figured he took about 5th out of 12 boys.
Love the graphite all over his face in this pic!

Can you guess who was the "photographer " for the night?
His car had a crocodile skin in it.
They sound like a really easy & cool way to decorate your car,
but it was pretty hard to work with.
He is already planning next years car!
T and his Buddy J participated in the school science fair.
They did an experiment using power bands.
It was really fun, & they did a great job.
We went to the car show at the park last saturday.
We haven't been for a few years, and the kids really liked it.
We found an old, restored Packard!
It was so awesome!
The highlight was seeing (and getting to sit inside)
"Bumblebee"
The boys thought they had died and gone to heaven!
T told us "It's all about the car Mom!
If you get the right car the girls will come!"
We are in so much trouble! Hee he!
Cardboard bithday banners I've been making for Forget Me Knot Floral

M continues to love preschool!
She has such a cute class.
Next week is kindergarten registration!
I'm really wigging out about it!
She has to get her immunizations,
so I have a little 'girls day' planned for next week.

T has a double header today so I will post those tonight,
and smile beacuse at least 1 thing in my life is caught up!
Happy Saturday!
